amansgottadowhat: (Guess what these are not)

50-Close, yet nowhere near any kind of yellow phallic fruit

[He is looking a little more disheveled than usual, more tired and unhappy. Until he focuses the camera on him, then behind him, to a (once) beautiful Santa Monica scene. And he grins.]

Well, well. It looks like that message about collecting items is working. Only two days and already I'm back home. Obviously not home home, as I still have access to the network and I see many faces of the City- [His face droops a bit for the previously sentence, before perking up at the end of it.] but it's a good effort, I think.

This- [He once again turns the camera towards the scene.] This is Los Angelos, greatest city on Earth, or any other galaxy; and it is mine. These are the streets I clean of crime, this is air that is inhaled with freedom, these are the people filled with such hope and joy- [An ambling man, approaches slowly, and then lets out a RRRRGH. Hammer turns directly towards him, and all you can see from the angle is a fist coming out and punching the rotted face straight through, before the rest of the body falls to the ground, lifeless.]

This is not the LA that I know. [He turns the camera back on him, smile gone, disgust apparent, and as he speaks he tries to non-obviously shake the gore from his hand.] Dilapidated streets they may be, but I still know them better than the back of my hand- the back of my glove. If anyone needs assistance navigating them, along with security, I am at the ready. Merely tell me where you are.

We shall locate gasoline and leave immediately. Hopefully for good.

There are some. Some Nords, Imperials, Argonians, and many others are lucky to be born with special abilities. Some Dunmer, for example, may summon an ancestor's spirit for assistance.

We vampires also have our share of powers, including the enhanced strength you mentioned, along with other enhanced attributes. And, of course, there are the more mystical abilities.

[identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 03:21 pm (UTC)(link)
And what are the Nords, Imperials, Argonian, and Dunmer, exactly?

Do you? Fascinating! I wonder what else we share in common.

[identity profile] servessithis.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Just a few of the many races of Tamriel. I myself am a Breton.

Very little, I would imagine, unless you too are a creature of the night. [And he seriously doubts Hammer is an assassin like him.]

[identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
And what is Tamriel. The place where you hail from? Are all Bretons vampires like you?

Well, I do have a tendency towards having a busy schedule at night.

[identity profile] servessithis.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course. And I should say not. Anyone may be bitten and infected with the Dark Gift, regardless of race.

[identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com 2011-06-23 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
I see. How fascinating. What differs between the races? Your own, for example.

grab a pen and paper, Hammer

[identity profile] servessithis.livejournal.com 2011-06-23 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
There are three types of races. They are the races of men, mer, and beast, and each have their own traits unique to the race as a whole. These traits are both physical and in terms of abilities. For example, mer tend to be leaner than men and have pointed ears.

The races of men are imperial, breton, nord, and redguard. The races of mer are dunmer, bosmer, altmar, and orcs. And the beast races are argonian and kajiit. Each race has their own defining traits, such as the ashen skin of the dunmer.

The bretons are men, and are the result of relations between men and mer thousands of years ago. We tend to be more adept at magic than the other races.

I'm picturing him as a reporter now. Kind of like Clark Kent!

Ah, I see. What sort of magic is it that you can do? [He is filtering out things he deems not necessary: Men, elves, and animals. The elves can do magic and men learned from them-> Vicente is a magical vampire.]

Interview with a vampire *is bricked*

[identity profile] servessithis.livejournal.com 2011-06-23 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
Besides the vampire powers, I am proficiant in the school of Illusion and Alteration, though I do dabble in Destruction and Mysticism.

[Not quite. If only Hammer knew what Vicente really meant by the term "relations".]

FFF. That is terrible, and yet I have to approve.

[identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com 2011-06-23 11:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I am afraid that I'm not familiar with such titles of magic. What do those mean, exactly?

[identity profile] servessithis.livejournal.com 2011-06-23 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Each school of magic allows for different spells. Alteration, for example, can allow one to breath underwater, while Destruction specializes in offensive magic.

[identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com 2011-06-26 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
[Genuinely impressed.] That must be very useful. I can imagine what illusions allow you to do- Mysticism I am a little confused on.

[identity profile] servessithis.livejournal.com 2011-06-26 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
Mysticism allows for many things, including spells that allow one to sense life force, reflect magic, and move objects with one's mind. A powerful school of magic indeed.

[identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com 2011-06-26 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
That is quite impressive. You said school, is that a figure of speech or did you have to attend classes?

[identity profile] servessithis.livejournal.com 2011-06-26 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
It is simply the term one uses when specifying what type of spell they are speaking of. Classes exist, including an entire university, but I am mostly self-taught.

[identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com 2011-06-27 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
I see. I am learning so much about your world already! Does the, Dark Gift as you called it, do anything to enhance those?

[identity profile] servessithis.livejournal.com 2011-06-27 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, well, I do have experience educating. Indeed it does.

[identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com 2011-06-28 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
A teacher too? What is your specialty?

[identity profile] servessithis.livejournal.com 2011-06-28 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
[Assassinations.] Combat and survival.

[identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com 2011-06-28 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
You must be quite good. [But Hammer would be able to figure out a way to defeat him, somehow. Certainly he'd be one of his hardest adversaries.] How long have you been teaching?

[identity profile] servessithis.livejournal.com 2011-06-28 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I am not one to brag, but I should think so. [You keep thinking that Hammer.] At least two-hundred years.

[identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com 2011-06-28 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Is that so? You don't seem a day over one hundred and fifty. [Well yeah? He will. Punk. So there.]

[identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com 2011-06-28 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Your resume is truly impressive.

[identity profile] servessithis.livejournal.com 2011-06-28 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[Chuckle.] You have no idea.
