56-A Horrible departure (and a horrible joke)

[Voice Post]

Anyone who knew, or has heard of Dr. Horrible, I am happy to report that the villain has left the City. I have but two regrets.

One is that I was not able to sufficiently defeat him that he would halt his actions back in my home world.

And the other is that the deities could not leave the City as well, villains that they are.

[OoC: Link not IC. EAST-COASTERS; I'm glad that there were no reported major injuries from the earthquake, but please be careful with the upcoming hurricane. Turn over any outside tables upside down, and turn chairs on their sides, and get anything else that has the potential to be airborne secured somewhere, inside if possible. Do not go out, do not drive, and keep away from windows if you're further South. Keep provisions at hand, and stock up; cold, pre-prepared food is preferable. I hope that you and your loved ones keep safe.]

[His first thought is that he thought he'd be taller. And more grotesque. As he takes more of him in, he keeps realizing how much he could almost look human. The grey- not pale, not sickly, just grey skin, the eyes, glaring though they might be, aren't like anything he's ever seen. The teeth and nails are sharp, but that was something he expected. He notices his horns last. They're smaller than they should be on something called a troll, and they shouldn't be so smooth and bright. Hammer has met aliens in the City before, and they were so unlike humans. Whereas this one could very nearly pass for some kid with a bad skin condition and weird hat at first glance, clearly capable of blending and fitting in with humans in a variety of ways.

It was disgusting.

That fact, above any individual trait made his stomach turn. But Hammer was good at smiling, so he has had one plastered on his face for the entire ten seconds that it takes to look at him.]

My, you're certainly a unique species.

[OoC: She makes an adorable John! I just want to pinch his cheeks into forever. Like I do with all Johns, really. And detail-oriented is good! And wow, awesome, you guys mentioned Sollux and- Terezi, I think- but I was curious about the others! You should totally do a chapter of what they're all doing, like, after the story's done, or something. HAHA, WELL, YOU'RE ENTITLED! And it really made the 'ohgod, river, I don't want to cross this shit grumble' scene more awesome.]

And all of your- kind look like you?

[OoC: Oh. Now I might actually have to go on AIM sometimes. I'm super curious about the revolution!]

[It's comparing itself to humans already.] How- fascinating.

Oh, but my, I don't even know your name! How forgetful of me.

Ah. Your name is certainly different, at least. [Whoops that seemed almost happy about that?] I am Captain Hammer.

Ah-hah, what a clever pun.

However the only thing I have in common with hammers is how I hammer villains into submission. And prison.
