Well, this weekend proved to be quite interesting. A little bit of a different sort of wetness than I'm used to; not quite the tail I'd been hoping to get, and a little inconvenient, but not bad, overall.

I would like to, however, address this ridiculous essay business now. The first one was easily ignorable and if you want to submit yourselves to that sort of risk and thinking it is no concern of mine.

But this? It is a MOCKERY! Write about pain? Perhaps if you do not meet their 'expectations' they will cause you pain. Perhaps even if you do. My suggestion is that this is one you err very cautiously if you decide to participate in it. Although maybe I should try. I might even hand in a little something to test the waters, so to speak. If you find yourself needing assistance, I will be glad to give it to you. Just contact me.

Pain is something that you make happen to other people. To inflict pain is a way of asserting that you will not be stopped. Pain is used as a tool all over. Pain can be used to stop someone else from causing pain to a third party. Or from yourself. Pain is defense, pain is offense. Pain lets someone know when they have crossed the line, and gives them the knowledge to know that they should never do it again, lest you give them more pain. Pain is power. Pain is not something I experience.

How strange it is that everyone seems to keep telling me that I was acting odd over the weekend. Surely it was a curse, and yet I can barely remember any of it. I do recall making a promise to Penny concerning baking something, but I apologize, I must take that back. I don't actually do anything of the sort.

Ah, Penny, how I wish- But no. I must be strong, as hard as it is. For her sake!

It's getting to be quite chilly around now, I shouldn't be surprised if it started to snow soon. Ah, how romantic that would be, a white Christmas . . . Ah, Christmas, the season of joy and brotherly love and odd-tasting puddings. I only hope the City reflects this joyous time.

The other curse was quite interesting, don't you think? I think I might have been affected, but I really can't seem to remember all that much of it! I must have forgotten all about it. A pity, but so long as no one was hurt, I suppose that's okay.

Although yesterday's curse was almost fun. I got rocket shoes, in fact! I was almost able to fly by the end of the day, but they reverted back to my normal boots. Sad enough, but I enjoyed them immensely. I should look into seeing if they have such footwear in the City somewhere!

Speaking of interesting, though, when I was getting my new shoes, I thought I saw something else flying. Out of the corner of my eye. It had wings, and a wand of some sort with an outfit. It looked very much familiar, like someone you might know. Sort of like- Oh! I know who.
