"Citizens, while it may seem tempting to take advantage of these plants, I would advise against it. A kiss stolen against someone's will is scarcely a kiss at all. I shall be outside all day, on the lookout for anyone who gets too . . . "handsy". I will not hesitate to defend innocents from anyone who looks like they have ill intentions." He looks away, dramatically, before turning back, slowly.

"And for anyone that knew her, Penny is gone. I shall be assisting the Welcome Center after this curse is over. Farewell, Penny, you shone like the brass you were named after."

[OoC: He's not THAT much of a douche . . . possibly. But he IS cursed. Take your chances~?]

Seems to be no sense of innocence with curses. Can't punish those who were forced.

Is this voice or action or what?

And those that go into the curse under the guise of being affected only to take advantage of others?

idk; i rarely care on these... let's say action

I don't think anyone is trying that. Trying to avoid this mistletoe, yes.

And action is is, then~

"You would be surprised."

And speaking of which- "You're not in a costume, I suppose, are you?"

Hand to the chest, showing offense. "Offended! Natural self. No modification. Would have went as Krogan... or Eclipse mercenary if was costume season."

"I didn't think so. Excuse me for a moment-"
From: [identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com
He has to stop himself from backing up; a real hero confronts the problem. "You'd better come in peace, alien!" A real hero also has great one-liners.

"I am a doctor. I don't intentionally hurt anyone. If you try to hurt me, have no qualms with incapacitating." Mordin can't decided whether a shot to the foot, a little fire, a little ice, or a neural shock would be the best way to take care of this... idiot, if he decides to attack to Mordin.

A doctor, eh? "A doctor, eh?" Well, perhaps he was bluffing. Time to test him. "What sort of doctor?"

From: [identity profile] doctor-tangent.livejournal.com
"Medical, genetics and xenobiology. Among other things." Don't have time for this.

He's just going to smile and nod now. But without the smiling. Or the nodding, really. "I see." He doesn't. No matter how distrustful he is of this creature, an introduction is proper. If only to intimidate your enemies, so the next thing he says, possibly by way of changing the topic, is just that.

"I am Captain Hammer."

"Dr. Mordin Solus." Buffoon. Too much like that Conrad Verner figure. Why hasn't he been shot dead yet? Could be useful to manipulate. File thought away for later.

"Are you supposed to be scary? Coming off as... very not scary."

From: [identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com
He nods. "A pleasure." He hopes. Well, it's certainly a pleasure for the alien to know him, at any rate.

"Heroes aren't supposed to be scary, they are supposed to provide a sense of security to citizens."

From: [identity profile] doctor-tangent.livejournal.com
"As all meetings are..." Except maybe this one. Can't be that rude.

"Heroes? Ah. Right." Definitely a Conrad Verner. Strangely wishing to have that Matriarch here... Flay him with her mind. "Not worried about security. Ran a clinic in one of the more lawless regions of Omega. Mercenaries never gave me a problem."

From: [identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com
"You have had experiences with heroes before?" It sounded as though he had. But on which side of them? "Well, then I suppose you're prepared for the City." He may not have any idea where Omega was, but it wasn't like he was going to tell him that.

"Of course. Am doctor... must act in patient's best interest. Even before doctor, was acting towards best of everyone. Even now, working towards saving the galaxy." What was that Earth expression? Facepalm? Was this human that naïve? "Maybe. Seen more interesting places. Illium. The Citadel. This place is just... a bit dated. No Prothean tech at all."

Date: 2010-12-29 05:11 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com
"Saving the galaxy, eh?" He listens to what he's saying, and understands maybe half of it. He gets enough of it, though, to ask, "When did you say you were from, again?"

He then mentally curses that he's been in this place long enough to be sort of used to asking that question. Or that he's had to meet anyone from another world or time period at all. It shouldn't be like this. He hates this place.

Date: 2010-12-29 06:35 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] doctor-tangent.livejournal.com
"Didn't say where I was from..." Needs better interrogation technique. Clearly never taught by STG or equivalent organization. "Originally from the planet Sur'Kesh, homeworld of Salarians. Most recently from the space vessel Normandy SR2... wasn't paying attention to our relative location in space though."

All of that? Riiiight over his head. "And what year?"

Date: 2010-12-30 11:41 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] doctor-tangent.livejournal.com
"2185 CE Earth Standard..." He's going to freak. Yes. A lot...no, a little. No, wait. A great deal. "...I am assuming you come from what appears to be the commonly held year of 2010 here?"

Date: 2010-12-31 02:30 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com
"A- little earlier than 2010, yes." Well. At least he wouldn't have to worry about aliens back home for quite some time.

And he's just going to wait for the freak to leave before he starts to really panic and have an episode.

Date: 2010-12-31 02:50 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] doctor-tangent.livejournal.com
"Oh, earlier? Strange. Interesting. Must keep a note of that." Different timeline? Different world entirely? No clue. Keep in mind: Hammer comes from a time before today.

...Even stranger. Believed this guy was going to start freaking out. Previous signs suggested so. Stronger will than his earlier actions suggested.

Date: 2010-12-31 03:31 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com
"By a few years, yes." He is feeling rather blank right now. This is most assuredly a good thing. Then again . . .

"Note? Why are you keeping note of that?"

Date: 2010-12-31 03:36 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] doctor-tangent.livejournal.com
"Hmm? Oh. Notes very important. Must keep track of the different variables. Must find way to make sense of it. This City is an utter anomaly."

Date: 2010-12-31 04:26 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com
"Ah. To try and figure out the City? A noble cause." As if it was possible. This place was a hell hole.

From: [identity profile] doctor-tangent.livejournal.com
"No. Impossible to truly figure something out. Just understand better. The best that is possible. Honestly busy with other research. A busy last decade for me." Collectors mostly gone. Reapers still there. Could use time here to my advantage.

"Ah. I see. Well- if you have questions, I might be of some assistance to you."

"Will keep in mind. Thank you." Severely doubt he can answer the type of questions I want answered. Still. Useful contact.

Date: 2011-01-13 06:10 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com
"You're welcome." Aaand now time to casually go on your way. "Well, I must be going now. People to see, things to do, after all. A pleasure, once more." Yes, good, that sounded sincere and not like he was going to freak out moments after he was sure he was out of range.

Date: 2011-01-13 06:16 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] doctor-tangent.livejournal.com
"Very well. Enjoy yourself." Strange. Was lying. Why was he lying. Doesn't matter. "I have work to do. Science to do. People to probe." He meant that last part as a joke. But his tone was a little too serious.

Date: 2011-01-14 04:45 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] horrible-protag.livejournal.com
"See you around." But hopefully not.

He started calmly walking away, until he heard that last bit, when he started walking faster. And then faster. And then decided to pick up a run. A fast run, that is. A faster run, certainly. Possibly super-faster.

Well Hammer doesn't like it. Or maybe he just thinks that he should put it in caps, because clearly that's easier for foreign people to read. "And what are you doing out on this curse day?"

The thing about that question, though, is he both does, and does not, want the answer. At least if you say that you're taking advantage of people, maybe something can be done . . .
