Unidentifiable foes, although there is a suspiciously familiar lab coat and goggles adorning one of them, lie at his feet, defeated, perhaps unconscious, perhaps without a pulse any longer.

But he is in a lovely stereotypical flower-filled field, surrounded by women at his arms, and lots of celebration going on and a parade, for him, in the background. You can tell it's for him because of his face being plastered everywhere.

[OoC: Sorry for late! Do whatever, say whatever, whoever is welcome.]

"Some of them can be robbery, but there are a few in here that have attempted to take over positions of power, kidnapping, hostage situations. All of them rotting lettuce in the salad of life, with no dressing, and the fork dropped on the floor." The atmosphere in his dream would of course make things more charming and irresistible. Not that he needed all too much more help.

[ooc: Best. Metaphor. Ever.]

Alice laughed, "You don't really seem like a salad man. I would've thought some sort of red meat would be more up your ally." Alice can't tell whether she's flirting or not, she's just glad to be having a normal conversation about almost normal things. The fact that the only place she's had a "normal" conversation is in a dream is one she chooses not to think about.

Of course Alice was flirting, I mean, just look at him! Not like she wasn't a nice pick, though. "Not with all of those villains in the salad, no." He grinned. "You're quite intuitive, aren't you?"

"In my line of work it's helpful to be able to read people, yeah." Alice is grinning right back. What? She always was a sucker for compliments.

Oh, moving onto her? Well, he could make it work, at least. "Yes? What is it that you do, then?"

"Oh, I'm a journalist. More or less." Alice was quite pleased the conversation had shifted topics. She didn't know what to say about super-villains and saving the day but she could go on about the mundane details of her life infinitely. "I recently got my own radio show. It's important to be able to read people to conduct a good interview," she paused, and looked at him expectantly.

At least he knew how to stay afloat in these waters. He'd had experience with interviewers. Lots of experience, if you got his drift.

If he was giving you a drift. "Oh, journalism? That's great. I should have guessed, you conduct yourself extremely well, and you do know your way very well around questioning people."

"Well, it is a handy skill to have here," Alice looked around blankly, momentarily forgetting where they were. Right, this was a dream and somewhere her physical body was, unfortunately, back in the city. That was how this worked, right? "Everyone here seems to play their cards so close to their chest."

"I can only imagine." He saw her looking around. It really was a perfect setting, wasn't it? And now she wanted him to reveal more and be more relaxed? He could do that no problem. "A shame, isn't it? It's always been my belief that trust and honesty are necessary foundations in any relationship."
